“Some people are attracted to strength”
(can’t tell if my timing is appropriate or not. I just…finished this today….)
/whispers because I can
sometimes I have the deep suspicion I taught myself to draw just so I could do self-indulgent fanart.
got the idea while listening to Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. it reminds me of Oblivion for some reason? “This is is, the apocalypse” and “I’m waking up,” and all that.
“Unbound”
the first part of skyrim’s main quest is my favorite tbh. I think it’s got some of the best tension in all of the story.
And I think that regardless of who you choose to follow, narratively they’d be a pretty important character for helping this unknown person who turns out to be the dragonborn. But I prefer Hadvar because with Ralof you both have the same goal of escaping, but Hadvar was in no way obligated to help you. He must have been pretty relieved to have a chance to save you after all.
and then he’s like, “I wish we didn’t have to torture our enemies” and it’s like, is this guy for real?
my epitaph will read: “She was still pissed about not being able to marry Hadvar in-game”
“But you’re a king and I’m a lionheart.
You’re my king and I’m your lionheart.”
Painting this was more fun that I would have thought. Barring some mistakes, I’m pretty proud of the outcome!
I want to do a fanart piece for my elder scrolls characters; Galena and Martin have to be together in that case. It’s a lonely thing, having a destiny, but at the end they stood together with not much more than their conviction and their loyalty to each other, knowing that whatever happens, this is what they were meant to do.
“Leave it to us!”
My Morrowind character, Asa Lim. She lived at the Waterfront of the Imperial City. At age 15 she failed the entrance test to the Thieves Guild… so hard she actually got arrested and wound up in jail. Only days later, she is taken from her cell and shipped off to Morrowind.
She’s young and it shows: she’s impatient and directionless, but naturally strong and quietly smart. She chose to be trained in spear-wielding because it’s the thing that will keep enemies as far away as possible. She’s just doing as she’s told so she can go home as soon as possible. But as Caius tells her, “You’re working under the Emperor’s direct orders. ‘Soon’ might not come for a very long time.”
