The four best friends continued going on adventures together.

That might be one of the most fulfilling endings to any video game I’ve ever played.

livvyplaysfinalfantasy:

This was my favorite part of the entire ending.

Why, do you ask, does Faris choose to become Princess Sarisa? Because she loves Lenna. Faris doesn’t completely betray her nature to live a life she doesn’t want, but she’s willing to make sacrifices to stay with the person she loves most in the world.

Gilgamesh advised Faris to fall in love to be more feminine, but the love that ultimately shapes Faris as a character is the love she has for her little sister.

Now that I’ve played Final Fantasy V, I’ve discovered a whole new appreciation for Faris. She’s a fantastic predecessor to so many strong female characters in the series.

I’m providing both answers to Jenica’s question in the same post.

Whichever choice you make has no consequence, aside from the scene shown in Lenna’s memory. Either way, Hiryu will still transform himself into Phoenix and lend his strength to the party. That, I think, is what’s most touching about this entire sidequest.

Even if Lenna did want to kill Hiryu for his tongue, he forgave her thoughts and actions. He understood her love for her mother. What’s more, he continued to save her life again and again in spite of whatever she would have done to him, had King Tycoon not intervened. I like to think Hiryu always tried to protect Lenna in her mother’s stead.

Hiryu doesn’t move at all throughout the entire flashback, no matter which choice you make. I have a hard time believing he’s just sleeping. There’s no evidence to support this claim, but I think he stayed still because he would gladly have died to save Lenna’s mother.

It is mandatory to read this in his Dissidia voice.

livvyplaysfinalfantasy:

Bartz interacts with Krile the exact same way he used to interact with Galuf.

livvyplaysfinalfantasy:

One of the most classic lines in the entire series.

livvyplaysfinalfantasy:

Gilgamesh actually feels sad over Galuf’s death?

I have so much more respect for him now. You have no idea.

Words cannot express how much I love Bartz.
